Seeking:
MR. MANNINGHAM (mid-40s, male-identifying, White, disabled or nondisabled) He is tall, considers
himself handsome, about forty-five. Heavily mustached and bearded and perhaps a little too well
dressed. His manner is suave and authoritative, with a touch of mystery and bitterness.
MRS. MANNINGHAM (mid-30s, female-identifying, any race/ethnicity, disabled or nondisabled) She is
about thirty-four. Once bright and full of life, her circumstances have led to a decline in her mental and
physical wellbeing. The rings under her eyes tell of sleepless nights and worse.
ELIZABETH (50s, female-identifying, any race/ethnicity, disabled or nondisabled) She is a sturdy,
amiable woman of fifty.
NANCY (19, female-identifying, any race/ethnicity, disabled or nondisabled) She is a self-conscious,
pretty, cheeky girl of nineteen.
ROUGH (30s-50s, any gender, any race/ethnicity, disabled or nondisabled) Middle-aged–greying,
short, wiry, active, brusque, friendly, overbearing. Has a low, warm chuckle and completely dominates
any room they walk into.

Rehearsals Start: Tuesday, October 24th, 2023

Seeking:
JESSIE (mid-30s, female-identifying, any race/ethnicity, disabled or nondisabled) A warm Midwestern
spirit who became a New York City corporate lawyer and is now settling into her new life as a Long
Island mom. She is still adjusting to the shift from pantsuits to yoga pants. Articulate, kind, and funny,
yet anxious about how to balance all of those traits.
LINA (late 20s-early 30s, female-identifying, Italian Descent, disabled or nondisabled) A nurse who is
fun and refreshingly genuine from Long Beach. You can tell immediately–she is very South Shore.
Acrylic nails, big hoops, velour tracksuits, Mets trucker hats, and a huge Italian family. She failed out of
community college, curses too much, and blasts Kanye too loudly in the car. And yet, she is
fantastically winning.
ADRIENNE (mid-late 30s, female-identifying, any race/ethnicity, disabled or nondisabled) A successful and fierce career woman, never a hair or a word misplaced. She believes in her brand, and you do
too. From the outside looking in, the kind of woman you want to be. Elegant, powerful, reticent, and
slightly Rock ‘N’ Roll. She is adjusting to motherhood the best way she knows how.
MITCHELL (late 30s-40s, male-identifying, any race/ethnicity, disabled or nondisabled) A math nerd
who is amazing with numbers, but not people. Serious, shrewd, sensitive, and CEO of his own
company. But becoming a father has changed him; he makes goofy faces now, he stares out windows
during meetings, and he ends sentences with question marks. He is anxious that his wife Adrienne
doesn’t seem to dote on their newborn; endearingly awkward, trying but failing to understand his wife’s
perspective.

MR. MUSHNIK (50s-60s, male-identifying, any race/ethnicity, disabled or nondisabled) The weathered
owner of the failing East Side flower shop, Seymour's boss, and father figure. A good man at heart,
