Anyone else cringe at the trailers of Hits the musical? Doesn't it look like a bad disney kids club show? I wouldn't spend $100 to see a bunch of kids scream popular songs. Looks so amateur

I saw some TikTok with a dude singing La Vida Loca and it was a hard pass for me. No interest in watching the teen American Idol live.

I mean I know someone's friend in it and she's pretty good, so I guess I'll see it and just review it later.

My family saw Hits the other night and we felt like it was some knock-off middle school talent show.

The kids were talented but young so don't look for good quality singing - lots of flat notes, attempted belting, etc.
The older "kids" were sloppy and trying to lead the younger ones. But they weren't.
Overall, the direction and choreo were very theme park-like. I'd expect to see this at a Cedar Point or Six Flags.
